a70s update -- waiting for my a12os set to arrive
I started the year shooting in the 125-130 range (it wasn't pretty!). I live in 5-month golf country (early May to mid October, if we're lucky) and managed to play 2-3 times a week plus equivalent number of visits to the range for the first time since I took up golf 3+ years ago. I replaced my woods with the a7os #2 & 3 hybrids in July and finished the season with 2 consecutive sub-100 rounds (94 & 98)!!!
Feeling cocky in mid September, I decided that I no longer "needed" hybrids and tried some conventional "game improvement irons" at a demo day.
How wrong I was!!!
PS: I'm now anxiously awaiting my a12os set to arrive -- ordered it as soon as it was announced

Love 'em
My wife and I "were bitten by golf" 3 years ago when I was 62. We spent a couple of months hacking around a local par-3 pitch and putt with some used clubs (didn't want to spend a bunch of money until we were sure that we were going to continue). We took some lessons that fall which really helped, bought sets of clubs from a chain golf store, and took more lessons in the spring. Played at least once a week and spent a lot of time on the range trying to improve. We both had terribly inconsistent, usually awful, results with anything longer than a 6-iron, and the 6 was usually "iffy". My set had a 10.5 degree driver which I also struggled with.
Eighteen months ago I read a review in Golf Digest (Christmas present subscription from the family) of the Adams a7OS clubs. I had since found a great independent, locally owned golf shop (Deboers) who were very helpful and told me that Adams was going to be at the upcoming golf show. A month later, I was at the Adams booth at trying out the a7OS. The moment I hit the 7-iron I could feel the difference. WOW!!! Could it be that easy?
The day after the show I took my current clubs to Deboers and asked if I could try mine side-by-side with the a7OS. WOW!!! again. What a night-and-day difference. I bought the a7OS Senior Set on the spot.
A month later my wife also switched to the a7OS.
Since then I have added additional a7OS clubs not included in the original set: 2-iron hybrid (the Canadian Adams distributor put a slightly lengthened 3 shaft and the 2 head for me), 3-iron hybrid and gap wedge. I prefer
the 2-iron over the set's original 5-wood. My wife added the a7OS Chipper to her set.
I'm still a high handicapper, but the a7OS clubs have made a huge improvement to both our games. They are forgiving and consistent -- my favourite "go to" club is the 3-iron hybrid which has gotten me out of trouble more than once.
A couple of week's ago at my club tournament I hit a good length drive into the left rough which left me 140 to the flag. Unfortunately, 30 yards directly in front of me was a cluster of 40' high spruce trees leaving me 2 choices: chip out laterally onto the fairway, or go over. I decided to go for the green with my 6-iron hybrid.
What a lovely sound at contact, then the sight of the ball launching high and true. When I walked onto the green I was pin high, 6' from the hole!!! Not only that, but it was a "closest to hole with second shot" contest.
I've also "sold" other golfers on the a7OS during past year. All it takes is watching them struggle with a shot then say, "Why don't you try taking it over with this?" as I hand them the equivalent a7OS from my bag.
Love the look on their face...

I turned in my first ever 85 score with my a7OS Senior Set
Before I purchased my a7OS Senior set of clubs a low 90 was a rare score. With my new Senior Adams a low 90 is now a normal game. A month after getting my a70S clubs I put my first ever 85 on the score card. I find the materials and technology, and the design of the a7O’s produce clubs that are very forgiving and easy to use. Don’t expect these clubs to correct a bad swing; not keeping your eyes on the ball when hitting and all those other bad habits you might have; but do expect a more enjoyable game.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that the a70S set of clubs is only intended for use by seniors in their 70’s. Anyone over the age of 50 and begginers should try a set of these clubs.
