Kenny Perry’s terrific 2013 season got even better last week as he was crowned champion after a one-hole playoff at the AT&T Championship, played at TPC San Antonio.
Kenny came to the 18 hole tied for the lead with fellow Adams staffer, Bernhard Langer, and both men finished the hole still tied – headed to the sudden-death playoff. After two very well-placed drives, Kenny found himself 176 yards from the hole and grabbed his 8-iron
“It was perfect,” Perry said. “I was jacked up, downwind, lot of adrenaline. I hit it the perfect distance. It was an amazing shot. I usually hit 160 with an 8-iron. Isn’t that funny what adrenaline does to you?”
Kenny’s second shot ended up 10 feet from the hole and he drained the putt to claim his third Champions Tour win of the season while increasing his lead in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.
We are thrilled to watch Kenny play so well and congratulate him on this most recent victory. With that 8-iron into the green in the playoff, Kenny showed you’ve got to #OwnTheSecondShot
