He’s the definition of consistency and that was evident this week with Bernhard Langer’s wire-to-wire win at the ACE Group Classic in Naples, Florida. The season is still getting started with only three Champions Tour events having been played so far … and Bernhard has already finished 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in 2013. He could be described as a machine with his consistent, high-level performances week in and week out.

This was Bernhard’s second win at the ACE Group Classic in the past three years. Between his two wins was another Adams staffer, Kenny Perry in 2012. Bernhard came out of the gates fast on Friday with a 10-under 62 which matched his career low round on the Champions Tour. He finished the tournament at 12-under par amidst tough weather conditions and a few Sunday charges up the leaderboard by his opponents.

“I’m certainly relieved now, having won,” Langer said. “It was definitely a grind. I was hoping to come down to the last hole with, whatever, a three-shot lead or something, make it easy.”
