Donald Constable is playing his first season on the PGA Tour after earning his status at the 2012 Q-School. It all came down to one five-foot putt on the final hole of the grueling six rounds of Q-school. With his make, the 69 put Constable in a tie for 22nd and earned him one of the coveted 25 full PGA cards for the 2013 season. A native of Minnesota, Donald graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Sociology. He played college golf for the Golden Gophers and also spent time on the golf team for the University of Texas before transferring to Minnesota. Donald spent most of his childhood on a hockey rink instead of a golf course, and his natural slapshot, left-handed motion from his hockey days has definitely helped him develop a powerful and precise golf swing. He says “I focus on fundamentals; ball position, alignment and setup. If those are on point, not much will go wrong.

If he weren’t playing professional golf he’d like to be on the SWAT Team or part of the DEA – and his dream is to be a Navy SEAL.

He’s superstitious and will try to not shave during tournament week.

He carries peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in his golf bag along with beef jerky as a snack.

The words he lives by: “Roll the rock!”

He is a workout freak – always thinking about fitness: getting stronger, more flexible and avoiding injury to prolong his career.
