We want you to learn more about the outstanding people who are behind the great golf clubs and products you play from Adams. In this latest installment of “Get To Know Adams Golf” we introduce you to Jeff Bishop

Jeff is our Senior Custom Fitting Coordinator here at Adams. What that means is … he manages our custom fitting business so that more golfers can benefit from custom built Adams Golf products. A better fit for better scores. Jeff grew up in Gilmer, Texas and is now married with one child. He once served a 2-year church mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Before joining Adams, Jeff was a Club Pro from 1999-2006

Q: How did you get started with Adams Golf?

I was a Club Professional in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for seven years prior to joining Adams Golf.  Being 6’5, an instructor and club fitter, I had always been fascinated by golf club design and results of properly fit golf clubs.  I joined Adams Golf in 2006 as part of the Custom Fitting Department.

Q: What is one interesting fact about yourself that you are willing to share

I love playing Trivial Pursuit and can get a little too competitive.  I love learning random facts.  One of my favorite channels on TV is the History Channel.

Q: What are you favorite hobbies, activities, places to visit, etc.?

I love to play golf when I am able to, but my two year old son takes up a lot of my time.  I love movies and anything dealing with electronics.

Q: What was your dream job growing up?

I always wanted to work in the golf industry.  As all young golfers I had hopes to play on the PGA Tour, but learned there at lots of players better than me.  While being a Club Professional, I got to see lots of facets of the industry.  I really enjoy working for Adams Golf and seeing how products are designed, manufactured, marketed and sold.

Q: What is your favorite/best club in your golf bag? Why?

My favorite club in my bag is actually two clubs.  I have had two Idea Pro Black 9031 Deep Face 17* and 21* hybrids with Project X HB6 in my bag for the past 3 years.  These are the lowest ball flight hybrids I have ever hit.  We no longer make these heads so I would be very disappointed if any thing ever happened to them.
