Weekends are always good. But when two of the Adams Tour Staff Pros claim victory within minutes of each other … well, that makes for a very special weekend here at Adams.
First, it was Bernhard Langer at the SAS Championship in Cary, North Carolina. Langer was four shots back entering the final round and with a 9-under 63 he was able to distance himself by two strokes and capture his 16th Champions Tour win which vaulted him into the lead of the Charles Schwab Cup points race.
Soon thereafter, it was a neck-and-neck finish in Las Vegas for the PGA Tour. Ryan Moore, playing incredible golf the past six weeks, didn’t slow down with a stellar display of birdies that put him at 24-under par for the tournament. Moore picked up his second-career PGA Tour win and will now shut down his season in anticipation of his first child to be born.
Congratulations to Ryan and Bernhard on their terrific wins Sunday. And thanks to both gentlemen for representing Adams on golf’s biggest stage.

I was a volunteer during the SAS Championship and had the esteemed privilege of talking golf with Bernhard on Saturday eve for 45 mins. He gave me a few golf tips, one of which was “par is not good enough, play for birdies”. He sure did that on Sunday with his 9 under and the tourney victory! His advice inspired me to shoot 37 on Sunday afternoon too! Another tip he gave me was to choose wisely in my search for a game improvement/competition iron set; I’m a 9 hc looking to upgrade from my XL2000 set, which I still consider very good. The implication from him I believe was to explore the Adams line. I have done so this week and I like the Tech V4 forged and CMB models. I was most impressed with the KBS Tour shaft during the fitting, clearly choosing the right shaft is as important as the club head design. Adams line and KBS Tour are in the lead as my search continues…
